Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent guest service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and welcoming bar area. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible service. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry while providing memorable experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards.
Take orders from guests accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces.
Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and adhering to licensing laws.
Upsell drinks and promote special offers to maximise sales opportunities.
Assist with food preparation when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed.
Provide exceptional guest service by creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system effectively.
Follow food safety standards and maintain hygiene throughout all duties.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or bar work is desirable.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service.
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with effective time management.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous.
Culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial for understanding food presentation and safety standards.
Ability to upsell effectively to enhance guest experience and maximise sales potential.
