Full job description

Musgrove Willows Coffins has been growing and supplying willow for almost 100 years and for the past decade have been an industry leader in supplying bespoke willow coffins to funeral directors and the families they look after.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a finishing and dispatch assistant to join our award-winning family business.

Every one of our coffins is hand woven on site using willow sorted and graded by hand. This process allows us to maintain exceptionally high standards of quality and service and you will be an integral part of this process and our team.

You will be responsible for working to tight deadlines, checking information, lining and boxing coffins and helping to finish orders with a high attention to detail. Our business is highly emotive, and this is represented in the care and detail we give to every coffin.

Requirements:

Team player
Reliable
Highly efficient and acute attention to detail
Manual work – so a level of fitness required
Rural location – own transportation required or lift share
40 hours per week Monday-Friday 8am till 5pm, hours negotiable

Our Company:

Musgrove Willows Coffins is based in Westonzoyland, Somerset, where all of our coffins are made with willow grown on our farm. Our coffins have passed rigorous testing for weight, strength, and environmental impact and are suitable for burial or cremation, and we are accredited by the Funeral Furnishing Manufacturer’s Association.

We offer a beautiful work setting on our family farm, 28 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays) and you will enjoy being part of a diverse and talented multi-lingual team. (Languages spoken on-site include English, Russian, Lithuanian.)
