Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to create a welcoming environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies.
- Manage cash transactions accurately and handle payments efficiently.
- Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and prevent over-service.
- Keep track of stock levels, assist with inventory management, and communicate supply needs to management.
- Stay informed about current drink trends and new cocktail recipes to enhance the menu offerings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or mixologist within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Excellent hospitality skills with the ability to serve guests courteously and efficiently.
- Good understanding of basic maths for handling transactions and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Effective time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills to keep the bar area tidy and well-stocked.
