Over the years, we have become one of the UK's most respected Quarry Masters and Masonry companies, working on a wide range of residential, heritage and award-winning projects.
Our Purbeck Quarry, located in Langton Matravers, quarries and processes stone for building stone, paving and landscaping products. We are now recruiting for a Full-Time, Permanent Sawyer to join our team.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 4.30pm
- Friday, 7.30am to 1.30pm
Pay & Benefits
- Starting rate: £12.71 per hour
- Overtime may be available at time and a half

About the Role
As a Sawyer at Lovell Stone Group, you will play an important role in processing high-quality British natural stone for use in a wide range of building, paving and landscaping projects across the UK. Working within our Purbeck Quarry, you will operate and assist with stone cutting and processing equipment, helping to transform raw quarried stone into finished products that meet our exacting quality standards.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that involves manual work. You will work closely with colleagues across the quarry and production teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to customer specifications.
What We're Looking For
Experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

- Be willing to undertake manual, physical work in an indoor and outdoor environment.
- Follow work instructions accurately and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Take pride in producing quality British stone products.
- Be committed to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Comply with all company Health & Safety policies, procedures and risk assessments.
- Wear and use the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.
- Help maintain a clean, organised and safe work area.
- Be reliable, punctual and willing to learn new skills.
All necessary training, tools, equipment and PPE will be provided.
