About the role
Our Communications and Marketing Manager will effectively lead an integrated communications and marketing function that reflects Wheatley Care’s values, strengthens our organisational reputation, influences policy and public understanding of social care, and supports the delivery of strategic priorities during a period of organisational transition and growth.
The post has a key role in positioning Wheatley Care as a trusted, values-led provider and partner, delivering high-impact campaigns and ensuring clear, consistent communication across services, stakeholders, and the wider system.
About you
You will have strong leadership and management skills and be adept at removing any barriers that get in the way of delivering excellent customer service.
You will be able to create an environment of trust and inspire others to achieve their full potential as well as build effective networks, locally for the benefit of our communities
You will demonstrate considerable experience in strategic communications and marketing, delivered influencing and campaigning activity at scale, can advise senior leaders in complex, regulated environments and have a strong track record in media and reputation management.
You will connect communications to quality, improvement, and meaningful outcomes for the people we support, using your skills in multi-channel campaigning, digital engagement, and storytelling.
It will be advantageous if you have experience in strategic communications and marketing within social care, housing, health or third sector together with a good understanding of Scottish social care and policy landscape as well as a knowledge of our regulatory body requirements - Scottish Social Services Council and the Care Inspectorate.
You will have a Degree (or equivalent) in Marketing / Communications, Media Studies, Public Relations or Digital Marketing. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) would also be advantageous.
