Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a stainless steel TIG Welder/Fabricator . This role involves working within a manufacturing or fabrication environment, specialising in welding and assembly tasks. The successful candidate will contribute to the creation and maintenance of high-quality metal components, ensuring adherence to safety standards and technical specifications. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in fabrication processes, with opportunities for professional growth within the organisation.

Duties

Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, primarily stainless steel.
Utilise hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or sub-assemblies.
Conduct basic measurements and calculations using simple maths to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specification.

Experience

Proven experience in TIG welding
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in sheet metal work.
Knowledge of welding principles, techniques, and safety procedures.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly processes and fabrication methods.
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control purposes.
Previous experience working with sheet metal
