Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a experienced Senior NPD Officer to join our NPD Team at our Factory in Coatbridge. This will be a 6 month temporary role and will be 4 days per week. We are keen for someone with NPD experience with a background in the Food Industry. A Food Science Degree is desirable. This will be an immediate start. The successful candidate will also assist with GMP Audits ans support the Quality Manager

Role and Responsibilities

· Organise all product and packaging npd trials from kitchen scale to factory scale working with the manufacturing manager to plan trials. document all trial results

· work closely with customers to develop new products or change exisitng products and take from kitchen scale to full production.

· ensure all supplier approval documentation and certification is up to date and specifications are in place for all raw materials and packaging, these must be reviewed every 3 years.

· complete customer specifications both internally and externally and review every 3 years or when changes are made.

· check all legislation for products being manufactured is compliant and correct.

· keep the site allergen risk assessment up to date and review when changes are made.

· support quality manager during all customer and third party audits.

· ensure that the vaccp plan is reviewed and kept up to date.

· maintain and up to date list of approved suppliers for raw materials and packaging.

· communicate all customer requirements to the factory team leaders.

· investigate customer complaints and non-conformances and ensure they are closed out in a timely manner.

· ensure fda registration is updated and maintained.

ensure soil association certification is maintained and trading schedule is maintained and up to date.
