Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces in construction and refurbishment projects. This role requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Painter will contribute to delivering high-quality finishes that meet client specifications and safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper adhesion of paint or coatings.
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Mix colours and prepare paints according to project requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the project duration.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project progress and any issues encountered.
- Assist in surface repairs or minor carpentry tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or related trades preferred.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for travel between sites.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and specifications accurately.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including climbing ladders, working at heights, and handling equipment safely.
