The team are primarily based at Rutland House in Runcorn with flexibility to work on a hybrid and agile basis. There is also some travel involved in this role, meaning that the ability to drive and access to a vehicle is essential.

Your Contributions:

We are currently recruiting 3 experienced Adult Mental Health Practitioners who currently hold a diploma/degree in a relevant field and are registered with an appropriate body (i.e., Registered Mental Health Nurse. We are looking for compassionate, skilled practitioners who share our commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and families.

You will be a vital part of the delivery of our Family Safeguarding Model, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess and support parents and carers experiencing mental health difficulties, domestic abuse, or substance misuse, delivering timely interventions that promote wellbeing, reduce the impact of abuse and neglect, and help families achieve positive and sustainable outcomes. Some responsibilities of the role include:

Working collaboratively to deliver timely mental health support for parents and carers, including responding to urgent needs and crises
Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, developing formulations, providing appropriate interventions, and contributing to family plans, risk assessments, and safety planning
Establishing effective referral pathways and working closely with mental health and other statutory/non-statutory services to ensure coordinated, multi-agency support
Managing and prioritising caseloads effectively, balancing individual needs, service demands, and shared team responsibilities
Contributing to team performance and continuous professional development through supervision, appraisal, training, and the application of motivational interviewing techniques
