Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Pub Manager to oversee daily operations of our cosy pub. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The Pub Manager will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming environment that encourages customer loyalty and promotes the pub’s success. Working alongside the owners of the business to build the food trade and establish the business in the community.

Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the pub staff, including bartenders, servers, and kitchen personnel
- Work with the Head Chef on food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper food production procedures are followed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas
- Lead team management efforts by providing training, guidance, and performance feedback
- Organise staff schedules to optimise service efficiency during busy periods
- Monitor customer service standards to guarantee an enjoyable experience for patrons
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Implement promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing clientele
- Maintain a safe environment by enforcing health and safety policies throughout the premises
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment
- Extensive restaurant experience with a strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen operations
- Previous experience in hospitality management or as a barista is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced setting such as hotels or bars is desirable
- Familiarity with hospitality industry regulations and best practices in food safety and hygiene
