About the Role

We are looking to appoint a motivated, ambitious, and highly personable National Account Executive to join our Commercial team at our Head Office in Bicester.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing key customer relationships within the wholesale bakery sector, driving profitable sales growth, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. This is a primarily office-based role, but it offers the exciting opportunity for occasional UK travel, customer site visits, and attendance at industry events to build strong partnerships across distributor and foodservice channels.

Main Responsibilities Include:

Build, maintain, and grow relationships with key national and regional wholesale bakery customers and wholesalers.
Provide clear and concise customer updates to both internal parties as well as wholesale partners.
Conduct regular supply chain calls to manage forecasts and service levels.
Deliver agreed sales, margin, and volume targets across the customer portfolio.
Identify opportunities for new business growth, product expansion, and market penetration.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and trading agreements in line with company objectives.
Develop a structured customer/opportunity map across the UK and highlight key accounts within this.
Work closely with the customer service team and have a relationship with key contacts in customer supply chain teams ensuring service levels are met daily.
Assist in the resolution of any supply issues and communication of them to the relevant stakeholders.
Work closely with both technical support managers and NPD colleagues to ensure any new developments are of a high standard and delivered on time.
Gather insight and feedback from customers, online platforms and visits.
Monitor customer performance, competitor activity, and market trends within the bakery sector.
Project management and development, providing tracking updates and key information to the internal teams, as well as ensuring they are completed in a timely fashion.

We are looking for someone who has a positive “can-do” attitude and the ability to remain organized and prioritise workloads under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

A strong customer/supplier focus is a given, but we are also looking for a team player who is friendly and flexible with a positive attitude and who can work on their own initiative, even under pressure.

Excellent commercial awareness and a focus on cost & efficiency will be key attributes. A high degree of discretion regarding confidential matters will also be essential.

You must also have the right to work in the UK and must live within easy commuting distance of Bicester, Oxfordshire. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor visa applications for this role.
