Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Garden Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring gardens and green spaces are healthy, attractive, and well-kept. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

utilise hand tools and power tools to carry out gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching
operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
perform landscape maintenance including lawn mowing, edging, and trimming
manage garden debris by raking, clearing, and composting waste materials
monitor plant health and identify potential pests or diseases for appropriate action
follow safety protocols when handling tools and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries
collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and uphold high standards of garden presentation

Qualifications

previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
familiarity with hand tools, machines, and general garden care is advantageous
ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual tasks
good organisational skills and attention to detail
a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to gardening and landscape management
