Full job description

Buttle's Builders Merchants are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hardworking Yard Operative to join our team at Buttle’s Leighton Buzzard.

Responsibilities and Duties:

You will work as part of our Yard team who are responsible for the loading / off loading of building materials/product within our busy warehouse and yard.
You will have a reliable and professional approach as will be representing Buttle’s to our customers within the branch every day.
You will offer specialised services including Timber cutting (full training can be given).
Duties may include driving our 'express delivery' van on occasion.
Maintain high health & safety standards and pro-active yard housekeeping on a continual basis.
The job role will also include supporting your colleagues within the branch as required.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Building materials product knowledge is essential, ideally gained from previous experience within a builder’s merchant environment.
Forklift Counter balance full licence is required.
Side Loader licence would be an advantage.
Timber cutting competency is preferred.
Display high standards of customer service within all areas of your work.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
Reliable and able to work within team environment and under on own initiative, as appropriate.
