Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Wedding Planner Assistant to support our team in organising and coordinating wedding events. Responsibilities
- Assist with the organisation and coordination of wedding events from initial planning to day-of execution
- Support the wedding planner in liaising with clients, vendors, and venue staff to ensure all arrangements are on track
- Help with upselling additional services or products to clients where appropriate
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and ensure seamless event flow
- Organise schedules, vendor contracts, and event timelines to maintain efficiency
- Provide excellent guest services during the event, addressing guest needs professionally and courteously
- Contribute to fundraising efforts or promotional activities related to wedding events or venue functions
- Assist with set-up and pack-down of event spaces, ensuring all details are attended to according to plan
- Maintain organised records of all planning documents and communications
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or guest services is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members
- Proven time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Experience in upselling or promoting additional services/products is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Enthusiasm for event planning and creating memorable experiences
- Fundraising experience or background in hospitality will be considered advantageous
