Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Site Manager to join our team in a leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, supervisory experience and health and safety knowledge. This role involves overseeing project schedules, coordinating subcontractors and direct employees, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within set deadlines.

We are looking for a Site Manager with trade background, Joiner preferably. As well as experience with other trades (carpentry, brick or similar) would be beneficial.

As Site Manager, you will be the main point of contact on-site, driving the day to day schedule and maintaining strict safety standards in order.

Responsibilities

Site Leadership: Supervise and lead subcontractors and direct employees, providing guidance and support to achieve project objectives.

Technical Supervision: Reading and interpreting engineering/architect drawings (refurbishment and new builds).

Coordination: coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to align project activities with organisational goals.

Monitoring: Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.

Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety standards, organisational policies, and industry regulations throughout all project activities. Delivering RAMS accurately.

Essential Requirements

SSSTS (Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS.
Experience in residential refurbishment.
Ability to read drawings and set out accurately.
Basic computer skills
Positive and proactive approach to problem solving.

Experience

Proven management experience within a construction, engineering, or related environment.
Supervising experience is essential, demonstrating the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.

Desirable Requirements:

Ideally Joiner to trade as 50% of work could be hands on.
First Aid at Work
Fire Marshall - Beneficial.
