Role: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE
Hours: 37 hours per week | between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 13:00 Friday
Salary: between £40,000 and £50,000 pa DOE
Do you enjoy working with electrical systems and want to play a part in shaping innovative vehicle technology? We're looking for a collaborative Electrical Design Engineer to join our Engineering team in Warwick.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys developing ideas end-to-end, learning from others, and contributing to a team environment where knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement are encouraged. You'll work closely with colleagues across engineering to deliver reliable, high-quality electrical systems for our specialist vehicles.
- Design 2D harnesses and select electrical components for heavy trucks
- Work collaboratively with 3D design engineers and systems teams to ensure smooth integration
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support approvals and implementation
- Compile engineering master parts lists (BOMs) and design release documentation
- Support product testing activities and help interpret results to inform future improvements
- Contribute ideas to problem-solving discussions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working within an engineering environment, with a willingness to continue learning
- Understanding of electrical distribution systems (EDS) and 2D harness design
- Familiarity with ISO standards for EDS and quality requirements
- Strong communication skills and an eye for detail
- An organised and structured approach to problem-solving (e.g. 8D, A3)
- Experience with truck or chassis systems and working with suppliers
- Knowledge of Zuken E3, schematic design, or 3D harness routing would be beneficial
