Join One of the UK's Leading Ice Production & Event Specialists
Founded in 1993, Icebox is one of London's largest and most established ice suppliers, serving bars, restaurants, hotels, venues, and major events across the UK. From delivering thousands of bags of premium ice cubes every week to producing spectacular ice sculptures for world-famous events, we operate at a scale few others can match.
Every year we complete more than 10,000 deliveries and create over 5,000 bespoke ice sculptures for clients throughout London, the UK, and internationally. We're a fast-paced, growing business with a reputation for quality, reliability, and innovation.
We're now looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Warehouse & Production Manager to play a key role in our continued success.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Warehouse & Operations Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operation, helping to lead a busy warehouse and production facility while ensuring our products, people, and processes run smoothly every day.
This is a hands-on leadership role. One moment you'll be coordinating staff, planning workloads, and improving operational efficiency; the next you'll be overseeing ice production, loading vehicles, checking quality standards, or supporting the team on the warehouse floor.
You'll be trusted to take ownership of day-to-day operations, develop and motivate your team, and step up to lead the department whenever required.
No two days are the same. From managing stock and vehicle movements to overseeing the production of specialist ice cubes and large sculpting blocks, you'll play a vital role in delivering the exceptional service our customers expect.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll support the smooth running of both our warehouse and production operations by:
- Leading, supervising, and motivating warehouse and production staff
- Planning rotas and ensuring appropriate staffing levels
- Managing stock levels, supplier relationships, and purchasing requirements
- Overseeing vehicle loading, dispatch operations, and driver workflow
- Monitoring quality control standards across all products
- Maintaining accurate records, operational paperwork, and reporting
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and save costs
- Supporting training, development, and team performance
- Ensuring health & safety procedures and food hygiene standards are maintained
On the production side, you'll oversee the manufacture and storage of a wide range of ice products, including bagged cubes, bespoke cut ice, sculpting blocks, and ice sculptures. You'll help maintain our high production standards while ensuring storage facilities, equipment, and production areas remain safe, organised, and efficient.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who combines strong organisational skills with a genuine willingness to get involved and lead from the front.
Essential requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' warehouse experience
- Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or team leadership role
- Valid forklift licence
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage and motivate a team
You'll thrive in this role if you're reliable, proactive, hardworking, and take pride in maintaining high standards. We're looking for someone who wants to build a career, take on responsibility, and grow with the business.
Salary & Hours
- £35,000 – £40,000 per annum, depending on experience and ability
- 45-50 hours per week
- Typical shifts: Monday to Friday, 6:00am–4:00pm or 7:00am–5:00pm
- Seasonal shift patterns, including occasional midday–10:00pm shifts during peak periods
- Weekend work required on a rota basis
- Additional hours available during busy summer and winter seasons
- Overtime paid or time off in lieu provided
Why Join Icebox?
This is an opportunity to join a unique business unlike any other in the industry. You'll work with a dedicated team, help deliver products and projects seen at some of the UK's biggest events, and play a key role in a company with over 30 years of success.
If you're looking for a challenging, varied, and rewarding management role where your contribution genuinely matters, we'd love to hear from you.
