About the role:
As the Quality and Compliance Manager, you will have the responsibility to drive a transformation journey across our business, embedding a continual improvement-focussed Quality Assurance and Compliance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- You will use initiative and sound judgement to ensure and assure continued compliance to customers' and industry quality requirements and specifications.
- You will identify the best quality tools and execute investigations / analysis in order to improve process quality, to reduce the cost of quality fails and support/enhance the brand reputation.
- Full responsibility for all aspects of the QMS and compliance to customer, industry, and regulatory requirements, such as ISO9001 and AS9120
- Lead the development and implementation of short, medium and long-term objectives with respect of quality, compliance and health and safety.
- Driving a Right First Time (RFT) programme across the business that drives improvement across all processes ensuring repeatability and predictability.
- Lead training and development for quality, compliance, health and safety, policies and procedures, and standards.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies covering dual use and ITAR controlled items is strictly adhered to.
- Conducting research, monitoring stock, applying for, monitoring and liaising with authorities.
- Management and administrator function of select aircraft portal accounts, e.g. Embraer and Airbus.
- Working closely with Customers and Suppliers alike to build robust relationships.
- Working closely with all areas within the business.

Preferable experience:
- Qualified as an ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
- IOSH or NEBOS Health and Safety qualified
- Proven track record as a successful Quality Leader ideally in the aerospace sector.
- Experience working within Spire and Export Licencing System
- A good working knowledge of interpreting dual use and control lists, SDN and sanctions lists.
