Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about child development and leadership within a nursery setting.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of nursery practitioners, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of outstanding childcare.
Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas (Follow EYFS curriculum)
Monitor and assess children's progress, maintaining detailed records in accordance with regulatory standards.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
Ensure the nursery complies with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment at all times.
Support the induction and training of new staff members, promoting professional development within the team.
Contribute to the organisation of daily routines, including meal times, sleep times, and outdoor play sessions.
Assist with administrative duties related to child records, attendance, and regulatory documentation as required.

Skills

Proven management and leadership skills within a nursery or childcare setting.
Extensive experience working with children in early years education or childcare environments.
Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise effectively with children, parents, and team members.
Organised with the ability to plan activities and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent).

Pay: From £13.70 per hour
