Full job description

What you'll be doing:
Leading and motivating the farm shop team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Supporting the day-to-day operation of the shop, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout.
Maintaining attractive, well-stocked, and beautifully presented displays.
Driving sales through excellent product knowledge and commercial awareness.
Managing stock levels, merchandising, and reducing waste.
Ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and health and safety standards are consistently met.
Taking a proactive approach to solving problems and supporting the wider business when needed.
The successful candidate will be working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, including weekends. Weekend working is shared fairly amongst the team.

We're looking for someone who:

Has a genuine passion for quality food and local produce.
Delivers outstanding customer service and enjoys building relationships with customers.
Has previous retail experience, ideally in a food retail environment.
Is commercially aware and understands how to maximise sales while maintaining excellent standards.
Has exceptional attention to detail.
Is proactive, organised, and able to use their initiative.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and remains calm under pressure.
Has excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a team.

This role involves supporting with opening and closing the site on a rota basis with other Team Leads.

We are based just outside the market town of Ledbury in rural Herefordshire, on the main Ledbury to Hereford road, near Trumpet.
