Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Night Care Assistant to join our vibrant care home team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality overnight support to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night. Your leadership and supervisory skills will help maintain a calm, secure environment while overseeing the delivery of personalized care plans. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced care professionals who thrive in a leadership role and are committed to making a positive difference in residents’ lives during the night hours.

Duties

Supervise and support care staff during night shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
Assist residents with all aspects of personal care and continence needs.
Monitor residents’ safety, health, and well-being through regular checks and observations
Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations or resident needs during the night
Assist residents with personal care tasks such as mobility, hygiene, and comfort needs
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, incidents, and any changes in residents’ conditions
Implement and review individual care plans in collaboration with the wider care team
Communicate clearly with residents, colleagues, and emergency services as needed to ensure seamless care delivery

Requirements

Proven experience working in a care home environment with senior or vulnerable adults
Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare or social care setting
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members
Strong leadership skills.
Knowledge of care planning processes and IT systems used for documentation and reporting
A genuine passion for senior care and supporting individuals through compassionate service

Pay: £13.71-£13.72 per hour
