Full job description

A position for Stores Person has arisen at our Southampton branch with a competitive salary based on experience, company pension, Perkbox and access to many other benefits.

We are looking for someone with experience in parts, stores or a service environment who enjoys working in a busy branch supporting engineers, customers and colleagues.

The role is to deliver and manage high standards of service on a daily basis for the branch involving direct interaction and telecommunication with customers, visitors, other Windsor branches and the branch sales and service teams.

Responsibilities will also include ensuring that the stores area remains organised and well presented at all times. There may also be times where you are asked to help other members of Windsor staff. Any tasks requested will be reasonable and within the scope of your knowledge and abilities.

The main day to day duties of a Parts Administrator (but not limited to) are:

Customers

Assisting customers with identifying parts and advising on price and availability
Processing customer orders and producing invoices for parts
Arranging delivery or collection of parts where required
Liaising with customers both face to face and by telephone

Branch

Managing stock control and maintaining accurate inventory levels
Issuing parts to engineers and customers
Recording and checking all deliveries
Dealing with couriers and coordinating deliveries
Working directly with suppliers to order parts and consumables
Negotiating prices where appropriate
Supporting other departments within the branch when required
Maintaining good housekeeping within the stores area
Working with the Service Manager to support cost control and branch targets

Systems (Protean)

Entering chargeable and non-chargeable jobs on the Protean system
Invoicing parts for supply-only orders
Raising purchase orders and allocating parts to the relevant job
Good receiving parts and updating the system
Carrying out stocktaking duties
