Job Overview

4-Site Power & Fibre Networks are currently recruiting for experienced OpenReach compliant Poling teams to work across the south central region on our fibre & electric contracts. With business growth planned, we are looking for new team members with an excellent work ethic & a do it right the first time attitude.

This role requires a team-oriented approach, mechanical aptitude, and a strong focus on safety and efficiency. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects that demand technical skills and physical endurance.

Responsibilities

New Pole Installations
Pole Recoveries
Stay Installations & Recovery
Pole Transfers.
Collaborate effectively as a two-person team to execute poling tasks accurately and efficiently
Operate heavy machinery such as excavators to assist with installation and positioning of poles or structures
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to perform installation, welding, or repair tasks
Ensuring high standards of safety and quality
Assist with the use of electrical systems and ensure proper grounding and connections during pole installations
Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with equipment or infrastructure components
Follow safety protocols diligently to minimise risks during all phases of work
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use

Requirements

Proven experience working in pole installation or related construction roles as part of a two-man team.
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications accurately
Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy loads and work in outdoor environments for extended periods
Knowledge of safety regulations relevant to construction sites.

SA001 - Overhead Safety
SA051C - TETRA Ladder Safety
SA009 - Overhead Safety & Cable Installation Over LV Power Crossing
IPAF 1B - MEWP Static Boom
Streetworks card
N027 - OFC Cabling in OH Network
O002, O003, O004, O005, O006

We still encourage applications even if you not currently hold all of the above but have relevant experience & are willing to undertake the required training courses.

Experience within the poling industry is mandatory - we cannot accept applications from those with no previous knowledge or hands on experience.

1 member of the team must be a Class 2 Driver & MEWP

We will provide:

Full Induction & Company standard training
Tablet, plant, uniform & PPE.
Van and fuel card (for work use only)

Day rates / Team rate to be discussed.

This role is ideal for motivated individuals with a solid background in pole installation or similar fields who thrive in physically demanding environments. Applicants should demonstrate teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety at all times.

Pay: £100.00-£200.00 per day
