We are Fowler Welch (Part of the Culina Group) – a multi award winning supply chain specialist working with retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers across the UK. We are now recruiting for LGV/HGV C+E Class 1 Drivers on a full time, permanent basis based for various shift patterns in Newton Abbot.

Job Description

Your role will include you operating refrigerated articulated and rigid vehicles, delivering and collecting chilled, frozen and ambient stock from Local and Regional Distribution Centres as well as local convenience stores for a major retailer

Salary/Basic Rates:

Days – Guaranteed annual salary of £40,580
Average hourly rate £15.61
Guaranteed 50 hours per week
Overtime paid at an enhanced rate

Shifts: Start times between 05:00am to 07:00am.

Friday to Tuesday
Thursday to Monday

Qualifications

Possession of LGV C+E Licence
Current DCPC
Newly qualified drivers considered
Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and Current Drivers Hours Desirable but full training can be provided
Excellent Communication Skills
Ability to Work Effectively and Accurately in a Fast Paced Environment
Effectively Prioritise Workload in Order to Meet Set Deadlines
