Full job description

Job Title: Barista / Front of House
Location: Leeds Corn Exchange
Job Type: Part-Time (15-25hr)
Start Date: Immediate

We’re on the lookout for experienced and passionate speciality coffee baristas to join our small team at Bruschetta, an independent cafe located in the iconic Leeds Corn Exchange.

This is a permanent part-time position with scope to grow, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, open-plan coffee shop and enjoys delivering warm, knowledgeable service to a loyal and growing customer base.

About the Role

You'll play a key role in ensuring every cup and customer interaction reflects our commitment to quality and care. We're looking for baristas who are confident on the machine, quick to adapt, and genuinely passionate about coffee and hospitality.

What You’ll Do

Make great coffee: Dial in grinders, pull consistent espresso shots, and steam milk to the right texture and temperature.
Deliver warm, engaging service: Take orders, answer questions, and build rapport with regulars and new customers.
Support the team: Work closely with colleagues on shift to keep everything running smoothly. This may include food prep, stock checks, cashiering and order taking.
Maintain cleanliness: Contribute to keeping the cafe clean and organised at all times.
Share your knowledge: Talk to customers about our coffee and food in a way that’s friendly and accessible.

What We’re Looking For

At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced speciality coffee environment.
Confident with latte art and dialling in grinders (E65S and EK43 experience a plus).
A positive, proactive attitude and ability to work independently or in a small team.
Customer focus: A lively personality, comfortable interacting with customers.
Weekend, Christmas and Bank Holiday availability is essential.

Nice-to-Haves

Basic food prep or kitchen experience.
Knowledge of food hygiene best practices.
An interest in cocktails or seasonal drinks development.
