SNB Electronic Services Ltd is looking for a practical, hands-on person to join our engineering workshop team.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving practical problems, and getting involved in different areas of fabrication and engineering work. The successful candidate will assist with a range of workshop tasks, including TIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, plastic fabrication, fitting, assembly work, and general fabrication duties.
Main Duties
The role may include:
- TIG welding and general welding/fabrication work
- Sheet metal cutting, forming, drilling, and finishing
- Plastic fabrication and assembly
- Mechanical fitting and general workshop assembly
- Preparing parts and materials for production
- Assisting with repairs, modifications, and bespoke fabrication jobs
- Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and safe
- Supporting other engineers and workshop staff where required
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Practical, reliable, and hands-on
- Comfortable using workshop tools and equipment
- Able to work from instructions, sketches, or drawings
- Willing to learn and get involved in different types of work
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Careful, accurate, and safety-conscious
- Experienced in fabrication, welding, fitting, or similar workshop-based work
Experience with TIG welding, sheet metalwork, plastic fabrication, or mechanical fitting would be an advantage, but we are also open to someone with the right attitude and practical ability who is willing to develop their skills.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
