We’re a family-run business with decades of experience, and we’re looking for a Part-Time Sales Advisor to help keep our store running smoothly, keep customers happy, and help us keep filling rooms.
This is a hands-on role and even though it’s part-time, it’s still a proper job with real responsibility. Some days you’ll be working alongside the team, and some days you’ll be trusted to run the site solo — so we need someone confident, capable, and friendly who can crack on.
If you’re the sort of person who can chat to anyone, stay organised, and keep things tidy without being asked… you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Helping fill the store – turning enquiries into customers and keeping occupancy moving in the right direction.
- Handling customer enquiries by phone, email and face-to-face at the store.
- Welcoming customers with warmth, honesty and practical advice.
No pushy selling here — we just help people solve problems when they need storage.
- Doing viewings and helping customers choose the right room size (and yes, most people get it wrong first time).
- Managing bookings, payments, insurance and customer accounts using our internal systems and apps.
- Supporting with overdue payments and debt calls (nothing scary, just calm and professional follow-up).
- Keeping the store clean, tidy and presentable – including reception, corridors, toilets, and making sure the place looks sharp.
- Helping with day-to-day admin like emails, reports, paperwork, filing and basic problem-solving.
- Taking ownership of your shift – especially on sole-trading days where you’ll be trusted to run the site properly.
What We’re Looking For:
- A confident, friendly communicator – someone who can speak to customers like a human being.
- Reliable and organised – if you say you’ll do something, you do it.
- Comfortable working alone sometimes (you won’t be thrown in untrained, don’t worry).
- Tech-friendly – happy using booking systems, email, mobile apps, and WhatsApp Web.
- A practical, hands-on attitude – we all muck in here.
- Experience in self-storage is great, but not essential.
We also love people from retail, hospitality, customer service, lettings, call centres, trades admin, etc.
The Details:
- Role: Part-Time Sales Assistant
- Hours: 32 hours per week (4 days per week, worked across Monday–Saturday)
- Saturdays: 2 out of every 4 Saturdays (unless you’d prefer to work every Saturday)
- Typical opening hours:
Monday–Friday: 8:00am–5:30pm
Saturday: 9:00am–4:00pm
Sunday: Closed
- Contract: Permanent, part-time
- Start date: ASAP
- Uniform: Branded tops provided
- Location: Primarily Cross Gates with occasion cover in our Meanwood Road site
