Position Overview: Decrobond is currently seeking a skilled Beam Saw Operator, The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process, responsible for The Beam Saw and executing machining tasks with precision and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilise cutting-edge technology in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- To run the Biesse Beam saw on a daily basis.
- Handle materials safely, ensuring proper loading, positioning, and securing of workpieces
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on saw equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with fabrication, assembly as required within the workshop or warehouse environment
- Maintain organised work areas, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the Beam Saw, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts, to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to create a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain records of production activities, including material usage, machine settings, and quality inspection results, to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Biesse or similar machinery used in the Fire Door industry.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize machining processes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work consistently.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
- Proven experience in fabrication, or warehouse environments is desirable
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational training or certification in Beam Saw or related field.
- Previous experience with Biesse Beam Saw or similar models.
- Knowledge of woodworking or metal fabrication manufacturing processes.
