As a Senior Architect, you will take a leading role in the programming, design and delivery of projects from inception through to completion. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you'll influence design outcomes, build strong client relationships and help secure future opportunities for the business.

Our architects enjoy exposure to an exceptionally diverse project portfolio. Current work includes delivering Football Foundation hubs across the country, particularly in Manchester and London, alongside a wide range of projects for Leeds City Council's extensive asset portfolio, including housing, schools, heritage buildings, transport infrastructure and commercial developments. We also work closely with Tier 1 contractors across Design and Build projects, providing opportunities to develop experience across multiple sectors and procurement routes.

Main Responsibilities
- Provide full ‘Architect’s Service’ as described in the RIBA Plan of Work and the “Standard Form of Agreement for the Appointment of an Architect”.
- Ensure compliance with clients’ Standing Orders, Codes of Practice and relevant legislation.
- Act as Lead Designer or project lead on projects, and promote Sustainable Design wherever opportunities are available.
- Deliver a quality design service for all projects that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Ensure projects are managed in a way that ensures the agreed rate of return is received.
- Allocate tasks to a project team on multi-disciplinary projects and take day to day responsibility for the direction of the team as nominated by, and assist in the assessment of team resource capacity.
- Provide architectural advice to clients.
- Responsible for identifying new business opportunities.
- Fee earning at 90%, and contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives and targets.
- This role requires frequent travel to other offices and sites as required.
- Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post.
- Promote continuous improvement and deliver demonstrable high quality products and services which embrace quality standards.
- Demonstrate personal commitment to the Norse Way CSR strategy.
Candidate Requirements
- Professional membership of the Architects Registration Board.
- Professional membership of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
- Degree in an Architectural related discipline.
- Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain.
- Extensive experience in a similar or related role.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
- Familiar with relevant construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos.
- Experience of providing high level consultancy advice.
