We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and experienced performers to join us for an exciting summer family event in central Halifax this Summer.
Event: Wildlife Rangers Adventure Club
Roles: Wildlife Ranger / Theatrical Team Leader
We are looking for confident performers who are comfortable engaging with children and families, leading activities and bringing energy, excitement and creativity to the event.
You will be required to set up. remain in character throughout the event, encourage participation, guide children through activities and help create a fun and memorable experience for visiting families.
Event Dates & Times
4 x Fridays in August 2026
Approximate shift times: 9:00am – 4:00pm (live hours 11am - 3pm)
Duties Will Include
- Welcoming and engaging families attending the event
- Leading interactive wildlife-themed activities and challenges
- Encouraging participation from children of all ages
- Supporting craft activities and ranger certificate sessions
- Assisting with event logistics, set up, pack down and stock management throughout the day
- Creating a fun, inclusive and positive atmosphere
- Maintaining character and energy throughout the activation
- Helping with event set-up and pack-down
Must Have
- Previous performance or acting experience
- Experience working with children
- Confident public interaction skills
- Strong improvisation and communication abilities
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and professional approach to work
