JOB DESCRIPTION
Due to increased demand from the events side of the business, we are seeking an events co-ordinator to help support our amazing team. This person will have experience in working for a venue that can cater to a wide range of events with a high bar turn over, alongside working in a daytime coffee house. The job is hybrid as you will be expected to work across the bar and coffee shop on occasions.
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be willing to learn our bookings system, have experience working a bar which serves cocktails and can serve make coffees to a high standard.
This is a physical job that requires manual lifting due to the flexibility in the venue, every event set-up is different, with each layout being completely unique. The successful applicant must be available to work weekends.
This person would have a passion for a wide range of events such as;
Weddings, Club nights, Corporate parties, Conferences, Expos, Live performances, Screenings, Birthday parties, Craft & book fairs + more.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
· Leading a small team calmly and able to delegate tasks efficiently whilst leading from the front.
· Management of venue equipment
· In the absence of the events manager; Leading venue show rounds and responding to enquiries (training will be given)
· Hospitality operations
· Detailed event planning & delivery alongside events manager
· Stock management
· Overseeing events until completion
· Dealing with all aspects of customers’ requirements on events
· Setting up the venue for events and reinstating for normal service to resume
· Maintaining a high standard of service
· Ensuring smooth service and communications between FOH & Kitchen on events
ESSENTIAL
· Experienced in hospitality, specifically events
· Experience independently managing/ supervising a team
· Strong work ethic
· Reliable time keeping
· Great communication skills
· Efficient decision-making
· Minimum 2 years hospitality experience
· Confident and polite attitude towards staff and customers
· Weekend availability
PREFERABLE
· Understanding of audio & visual tech
· Understanding of Design My Night/Collins
· Experience with Food service (i.e. waiting tables)
· Experience working in a coffee shop
· Draught line cleaning
Pay: £13.46 per hour
