Full job description

Job Summary
In the role of a Trainer/Assessor, you will be delivering front-line services to our clients, based on their training requirements and needs. As this is a customer facing role, you will be expected to promote a professional and positive image of Citrus Training, always in both appearance and behaviour.

The position offers an exciting opportunity for any individual looking to join an organisation where they will benefit from full training, mentoring and development and enjoy career progression within a fast-growing organisation.

Responsibilities

Have relevant skills, knowledge, and experience in the subjects they are delivering;
Keep up to date with the current legislation;
Identify learner’s needs;
Provide learners with training at a level and pace to suit their needs;
Undertake all necessary preparation, administration, and assessment associated with the training and qualification standards;
Provide appropriate learning support to enable effective learning;
Participate in the planning and improvement of course programmes
Participate in centre devised professional development activities;
Devise persona professional development activities;
Participate in the appraisal schemes;
Participate in self-assessment activities, including observation of learning sessions if needed.

Skills

Hold all relevant certificates of training in their specific area of training;
Hold an A1 or D32/D33 certificate and have willingness to work towards V1 certificate;
Have a wide knowledge and working experience of the industry relevant to the course(s) they train on and minimum of 5 years occupational work experience pertinent to the qualifications that they are able to train in;
Excellent people skills and customer focused
Maintaining integrity and honesty in all interactions and assessments;
Provide clear, concise instructions and explanations;
Being flexible and creative in finding ways to helps trainees understand difficult concepts;
Demonstrating safe practices consistently and leading by example;
Leading training sessions with confidence and authority;
Setting a positive example for trainees through behaviours and professionalism;
Continuously seeking opportunities for personal and professional development;
Staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00

The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to working hours as travel to and from training venues, some overnight stays will be required to fulfil the role.

Salary: Competitive and subject to experience

Benefits:

Holiday - 25 Days per annum, plus bank holidays (3 or 4 days to be saved for a shutdown at Christmas).
