We are seeking a reliable and practical Maintenance Operator / Mobile Service Technician to carry out a wide range of minor maintenance, repair and cleaning tasks across stations and associated facilities.
We are looking for someone flexible and hands-on, capable of working across multiple locations, participating in an on-call rota for emergency repairs, and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and customers while complying with mandatory training requirements.
The Role
- Carry out minor maintenance and repair works including joinery, plumbing, glazing and drainage clearance.
- Replace Perspex panels, poster cases, shelters, roof panels and wall tiles as required.
- Fix, repair and replace fencing panels, station fixtures, furniture and signage (using ladders where required).
- Undertake gutter clearance at low and high levels and periodic vegetation works.
- Complete minor painting and deep cleaning tasks on stations and facilities.
- Use hand and electric tools safely and appropriately.
- Respond to emergency repairs as part of an on-call rota and support works at other locations as required.
- Report faulty or damaged equipment to the line manager and attend mandatory training, including PTS if required.
About You
- Basic practical maintenance and repair skills across building and site environments.
- Ability to carry out minor joinery, plumbing, glazing and general fabric repairs.
- Confidence using hand and electric tools safely.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- A flexible and proactive approach to work across multiple locations.
- Full UK driving licence is required.
