Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Meat Cutter or Packer to join our food production team. This role involves preparing, processing, and packaging meat products in a safe and efficient manner. Also using bone saw to cut,The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, ensuring that products meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food preparation and butchery to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Cutting, trimming, and preparing various types of meat according to specified standards and recipes
Packaging meat products securely for distribution or retail sale
Ensuring all meat is handled in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Maintaining cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment at all times
Assisting with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage organisation
Following health and safety procedures diligently to prevent contamination or accidents
Collaborating with team members to meet production targets efficiently and accurately

Skills

Experience in food production or culinary roles, particularly within butchery or meat processing
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices within a food manufacturing environment
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
Ability to operate specialised cutting equipment safely and effectively
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in handling products
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with colleagues effectively
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is important
