Job Summary

To provide management support and leadership to the Service Manager (CDC) in relation to the development and delivery of growth in our Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs). To support transformational change across diagnostic services, contributing to the delivery of accessible, patient centred and high quality, community-based pathways in line with NHS priorities and the strategic objectives of NHS England and local healthcare partners.

The post holder will provide operational, administrative and business support to the CDCs across Leeds. Working closely with the Service Manager, clinical leads and operational teams, the post holder will support the effective delivery, performance and continuous improvement of CDC services, ensuring high standards of patient care, efficiency and service delivery.

The role will contribute to the coordination of day-to-day operations, performance monitoring, service development and workforce planning, helping to ensure that national and local diagnostic targets are achieved. The post holder will support the management of activity, waiting lists, data reporting, governance processes and financial monitoring, while building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Business Support Manager to join our Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) programme team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery and transformation of diagnostic services, improving access, reducing waiting times and enhancing patient outcomes across Leeds and the wider region. This 12-month fixed-term post offers an excellent secondment opportunity for individuals looking to further develop their skills within a busy and evolving service. Working closely with the Service Manager, clinical leads and operational colleagues, you will provide high-quality business, operational and administrative support to CDC services.

What you will bring to the role

You will contribute to the effective planning, coordination and delivery of services, ensuring they are responsive, efficient and patient-centred, while supporting the achievement of national NHS priorities and local objectives. The role is varied, requiring strong organisational, analytical and communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

You will support performance management, service development and day-to-day operations, helping to ensure targets and quality standards are met. As part of a forward-thinking service, you will also contribute to continuous improvement and transformational change, helping to develop patient-centred pathways that deliver care closer to home.
