We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our Administration team at HMP Wealstun, a category C prison located in Wetherby.
HMP Wealstun is a busy male prison with a capacity for 832 inmates. We are recruiting for a Part Time Administrator to join our healthcare team.
Practice Plus Group provides primary care and substance misuse services across the wings, clinic areas, inpatient facilities, and reception services.
These services would not be possible without our fantastic administration team, and that's where you come in!
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our team!
Hours
This role is 26.5 hours per week. Fridays must be covered, but otherwise we can be flexible on the days and shifts, and school hours are available.
Core hours are Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00.
Salary
This position is part time, you’ll receive an annual salary of up to £28,574 per annum FTE.
The salary will be pro rata for part time hours.

As our new Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
- As the first point of contact for the healthcare team, you will actively speak to hospitals, GP surgeries, solicitors and others, arranging external appointments for patients, requesting discharge summaries and patient summaries etc
- Work closely with the wider prison team to arrange hospital appointments, escorts and bed watch. You will also ensure that prison officers have up to date clinic lists
- Process E Referrals
- Update trackers, systems and spreadsheets for hospital appointments, admissions, consent forms etc
- Carry out admin tasks for Early Days in Custody (EDIC)
- General admin duties such as scanning, post, minute taking and stock check

Our new Administrator will:
- Have extensive administration experience, ideally within a healthcare / medical setting, such as hospitals, GP surgery
- Be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, with lots of phone based work
- Any healthcare knowledge and experience would be a bonus, as would knowledge of QAF and clinical coding
- SystmOne knowledge would be beneficial
- Be confident using data and maintaining spreadsheets, so excel skills are essential
