HGV Class 1 / Class 2 – 7 Car Transporter DriverRD Services Recovery Ltd – Yorkshire

RD Services Recovery Ltd is expanding, and we're looking for an experienced 7 Car Transporter Driver to join our growing team. We operate a modern fleet of transport and recovery vehicles across Yorkshire and the UK, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to grow with the business.
The Role
You will be responsible for transporting vehicles safely and professionally using a 7-car salvage specification transporter. The role also involves operating a spec lift when required, ensuring vehicles are loaded and secured correctly, completing all paperwork accurately, and delivering first-class customer service.
This is a varied role that requires someone who can work independently, think on their feet, and represent RD Services professionally at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Valid HGV Licence (appropriate category)
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph (Digi) Card
- Maximum of 6 penalty points (No major endorsements)
- Previous experience operating a 7-car salvage specification transporter (essential)
- Experience using a spec lift (preferred and may be required)
- Excellent knowledge of vehicle loading and securing
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
- Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport and unload vehicles.
- Operate a salvage specification transporter and spec lift when required.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic routine maintenance.
- Complete defect reports and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately complete transport paperwork and digital records.
- Ensure vehicles are secured correctly using approved methods.
- Keep company vehicles clean, maintained and presentable.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to clients and members of the public.
- Follow all company policies, health & safety procedures and driver regulations.
