Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-time Barista/Bartender to join our vibrant team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in a lively environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety. Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous, but full training will be provided to develop your skills further. This position is ideal for those seeking flexible working hours and the chance to work in a dynamic setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised cocktails, ensuring consistency and quality.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit.
Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems with precision.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
Assist with food preparation when required, including light snacks or accompaniments.
Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
Uphold health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and beverages.
Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment, encouraging repeat visits.

Skills

Proven experience as a barista or bartender is preferred; however, training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the hospitality industry.
Excellent serving skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills to keep work areas clean and stocked efficiently.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers alike.
