The Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive school for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work closely with pupils who require additional support.
You will:
· Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
· Adapt learning materials to suit individual learning styles
· Support social, emotional and behavioural development
· Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCO’s
· Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment

Who We’re Looking For:
We are keen to hear from graduates from all degree backgrounds that link to working with young people or creative engagement, including:
· Psychology
· Educational Studies
· Childhood Studies
· Sociology
· Criminology
· Social Work
· Any other degree that involves mentoring, coaching, advocacy, or creativity

They are patient, empathetic and emotionally intelligent, with a calm and resilient approach to supporting pupils who may require additional structure or reassurance. They understand the importance of inclusion and are passionate about ensuring every child feels seen, supported and capable of success.
Working Hours
8.30am – 3.30pm
Monday – Friday

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Pay: £14.60-£16.90 per hour
