Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills within a vibrant early childhood education setting. The successful applicant will have experience working with children and a strong understanding of childcare practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality early years education.

Duties

Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
Foster positive relationships with children and their families through effective communication and regular updates on progress.
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment in line with health and safety regulations.
Support colleagues in managing daily operations within the nursery or childcare setting.
Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare practices and behaviour management strategies.
Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping, attendance monitoring, and reporting incidents when necessary.
Drive organisational initiatives to enhance the quality of early childhood education programmes.

Skills

Proven experience in management and leadership within early years settings or childcare environments.
Strong working knowledge of early childhood education principles and nursery practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members.
Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with children of various ages and backgrounds.
Organised with the capacity to plan activities that support individual developmental needs.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation or outreach activities.
A recognised qualification in early childhood education or childcare is preferred but not essential for all roles. This position provides an enriching environment where you can make a meaningful difference in young children's lives while developing your professional skills within a supportive team.

Pay: £12.75-£14.00 per hour
