We're seeking kind, caring and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team at Guiseley Manor Care Home. You'll deliver quality care to residents whilst contributing to the efficient running of our 72-bed facility.

About Guiseley Manor Care Home

Guiseley Manor Care Home is a purpose-built 72 care home facility and is situated in the town of Guiseley in the heart of west Yorkshire, Leeds. The home provides the highest standards of safety, comfort and care to 72 residents who have a variety of care needs. We offer residential, nursing and dementia care. The home reflects the Lovett Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort and care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activity and gentle exercise to enhance the experience, care and wellbeing of our residents. All team members are hand selected for their warmth and passion; they have a full induction and ongoing training from our in-house trainers. Across Lovett Care all of our staff are paid the national minimum wage or above.

What you'll be doing

Deliver hands-on care to residents in a person-centred way
Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life
Model best practice when delivering care
Assist residents in all aspects of their physical, emotional and spiritual care needs in line with agreed care plans
Contribute to the daily records of residents
Contribute to effective teamwork and undertake delegated tasks efficiently
Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with

What we're looking for

Experience at Care Assistant level in a care environment is preferable
Care certificate of equivalent or a willingness to achieve this in the first 12 months of employment
Evidence of good care practice knowledge relating to the care of older people
Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the 6 principles of care and how they underpin the delivery of care in a residential/nursing setting
Demonstrate the ability to work in a team
Demonstrate self-motivation and confidence

We have a full time contract available with an hourly rate of £12.75! Shift times are 0745-2000, with alternate weekend working.
