CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Programmer/Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating Siemens and Fanuc CNC controls. This role is critical in ensuring the precision and quality of components. The CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator will work closely with the workshop manager, engineers and production staff to produce high-quality parts that meet specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Multiaxis Mastercam and SolidWorks experience essential
· Program, Set and operate CNC machines (e.g., mill-turn and 5/3 axis machining
centres) to produce high-quality components.
· Interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
· Conduct first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
· Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
Requirements:
· Multiaxis Mastercam and SolidWorks experience essential
- Programming and operating DMG Mori DMU50 & CLX450 machines
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator
- Previous experience working with Siemens and Fanuc controls
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes.
- Experience of manual turn and milling etc
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good technical experience with inspection equipment (CMM inspection, micrometers, gauges etc).
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible and team-oriented attitude.
- Advanced programming knowledge
Desirable
- Programming and operating Fanuc Robodrill (3 axis)
- Experience working with XYZ Prototrack lathes
