MAIN AIMS
● To ensure customers have a safe, enjoyable, and high-quality
experience through maintaining standards, and supporting the
smooth hands-on operation of the pool.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional
● To facilitate a friendly but effective and professional relationship with Leisure Centre
users
● Supervision and control of pool and surrounding area to ensure safety of bathers, in
accordance with the RLSS/operational procedures.
● Perform rescues, give immediate first aid in the event of injury or initiate other
emergency action as appropriate.
● Clean pool and surrounding areas, showers and changing facilities and other areas
as required.
● Responsible for general safety and behaviour of the public, preventing misuse or
damage to internal and external facilities.
● Assemble, dismantle and store equipment and displays, reporting any defects
affecting safety of users.
● Assist users with instructions on the proper use of equipment, when necessary.
● Assist in Health and Fitness and other activity areas as directed in accordance with
the MyActive code of practice.
● To provide occasional cover on reception.
● Accept items of lost property and record details.
● Ensure the building is clean and tidy.
General
● Be an ambassador for MyActive and always maintain a professional approach
● At all times act in accordance with MyActive Safeguarding Children and Adults at
Risk policies and procedures
● To build the MyActive Code of Conduct and values into every-day work and
activities on a personal, team and organisational level, regularly referencing Our
Code of Conduct to inform and inspire
● To be supportive and good team player, supporting others where you can, and
actively participating in team meetings, events and the induction and training of new
team members
● Create and maintain good working relationships with all MyActive colleagues
● To promote and support diversion and inclusion in all activities
● To be aware of and act in accordance with the MyActive environmental
sustainability plans and approach at all times
● To be aware of and act in accordance with MyActive policies and procedures at all
times
● Ensure that appropriate standards of Health and Safety provision are in place and
implemented to ensure the safety of staff, visitors and the general public
The above is not exhaustive, and the post holder may at any time be asked to undertake
any other duties reasonably required
To undertake this role the post holder will be required to hold an enhanced disclosure
from the Disclosure and Barring Service. Where a valid DBS is not currently held ALL
will undertake this check before an individual commences in post.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
