We are a growing residential construction company specialising in high-quality extensions, renovations, structural alterations and bespoke residential projects.
We take pride in delivering excellent workmanship, maintaining high standards and building strong relationships with our clients. We are now looking for an experienced Working Site Foreman to help lead our projects and become a key part of the business.
The Role
This is a hands-on role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being on the tools while also taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of projects.
You will be expected to lead from the front, organise work on site, coordinate trades and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This role would suit an experienced carpenter/joiner who has experience running residential projects and wants more responsibility without moving into a fully office-based position.
Responsibilities
- Carry out high-quality and general building work
- Run day-to-day site operations
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and trades
- Plan works and keep projects progressing to programme
- Order materials and manage deliveries
- Read and interpret drawings
- Set out works accurately
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and site organisation
- Ensure health and safety requirements are followed
- Liaise with the business owner regarding progress and site requirements
Essential Requirements
- Strong tradesman background
- Experience working on extensions, renovations and residential projects
- Ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate site activities
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, professional and solution-focused attitude
Desirable Experience
- Structural steel installations
- Extension and renovation projects
- General building knowledge
- Experience leading small teams
What This Role Is NOT
This is not a sales role.
You will not be responsible for:
- Winning work
- Pricing jobs
- Attending sales appointments
- Business development
- Managing company finances
Your focus will be delivering projects on site, managing labour and trades, and maintaining quality standards.
