Subsidy & Energy Co-ordinator
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: The normal place of work for this role will be the Stokesley Head Quarters based at Stokesley Business Park. The Company may, at its discretion, consider hybrid working arrangements following successful completion of the probationary period subject to operational demands and management approval.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Subsidy & Energy Co-ordinator to support the administration, compliance, and data management activities across a growing portfolio of Generate Upcycle UK’s energy assets.
This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical and administrative skills who enjoys working with operational data, regulatory processes, and financial reporting support.
You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely administration of renewable energy subsidy schemes, certificate tracking, metering data management, and compliance workflows across electricity, gas, and heat generation assets.
Key Responsibilities
Subsidy & Regulatory Administration
- Support the administration of UK renewable energy support schemes including FIT, ROCs, RHI, GGSS, REGO, and RGGO
- Accurately input meter readings, production data, and routine claims via OFGEM and third-party portals
- Maintain organised and audit-ready compliance records
- Assist with regulatory audits, compliance reviews, and scheme queries
- Monitor updates to subsidy schemes and escalate relevant changes to senior management
Energy Revenue & Commercial Support
- Collate generation and operational data to support energy sales and hedging strategies
- Track contract timelines and support administration of PPA-style and merchant exposure arrangements
- Compile market data and wholesale pricing reports
- Liaise with utilities, traders, suppliers, and aggregators regarding contract administration
Certificate & Commodity Administration
- Track issuance and validation of REGO, ROC, and RGGO certificates
- Maintain certificate lifecycle records and monitor redemption deadlines
- Support reporting and data gathering relating to certificate pricing and sales activity
Data & Reporting
- Cross-check metering and production data across multiple sites
- Prepare operational and eligibility data supporting subsidy claims
- Investigate data discrepancies and escalate issues where required
- Support monthly and annual reporting through accurate spreadsheet updates and data preparation
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Plant Managers to ensure timely reporting and submissions
- Act as a first point of contact for routine OFGEM and scheme administration queries
- Coordinate documentation and workflow processes with external counterparties
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
- 1–3 years’ experience in an administrative, analytical, compliance, utilities, or data-focused role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex datasets accurately
- Intermediate Excel skills including formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data validation
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently on routine tasks while escalating complex matters appropriately
- Comfortable working within structured regulatory or compliance environments
Desirable
- Experience with OFGEM portals or UK renewable energy schemes
- Exposure to energy markets, utilities, or multi-site operational businesses
- Understanding of renewable energy certificates and subsidy mechanisms
