Dura-Sport are looking for a hard working and enthusiastic person to join our team working on the installation of synthetic sports & play surfaces for football, cricket, hockey, tennis in addition to playground and landscaping surfaces.
Based from our headquarters in Wigston, Leicestershire, Dura-Sport operate throughout the UK supplying, installing and maintaining synthetic surfaces. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have experience driving a van.
You will be working in small teams and should be at ease working outside in both the summer and winter months, sometimes in challenging conditions. The work is of a manual nature and can be physically demanding.
The role will involves installing synthetic carpets of all types and associated works, including groundworks, fencing, plus hard and soft landscaping.
As we work nationally the role includes lodging away when travel distance dictates and an overnight allowance is provided. You must be comfortable staying away from home when required.
You must be reliable, punctual, resourceful, and have a flexible approach to working hours to ensure that key stages of projects are met. The role includes early starts and is based on a 45-hour standard working week (Monday-Friday) with additional paid overtime.
The role includes use of specialist equipment as well as regular plant and machinery. Experience (and licences) of driving the following would be preferred, though not essential as training will be provided. Including forklift, excavator, dumper, roller, tractor.
Candidates should have a friendly, approachable attitude, be able to follow specific instructions and show initiative in problem solving. Excellent opportunity in a growing company for progression and to increase annual earnings.
