Social Media Marketing Intern

Wonderlust – Leicester (Loseby Lane)
Part-time Internship | 8–12 Hours Per Week | Flexible Schedule

Wonderlust is a specialty confectionary & beverages store based in Leicester, bringing unique snacks, trending drinks, imported treats, and exciting new products to customers both in-store and online. We’re looking for a creative and confident Social Media Marketing Intern to help grow our TikTok and Instagram presence and drive traffic to both our Leicester store and online shop.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys content creation, social media trends, and being on camera. We want someone with ideas, energy, and initiative who can help make Wonderlust stand out online.

What You’ll Be Doing

Managing and growing Wonderlust’s TikTok and Instagram accounts
Creating engaging social media content including:
Posts
Reels
TikToks
Product showcases
Behind-the-scenes content
Filming content with staff members and appearing in videos yourself where appropriate
Coming up with creative marketing ideas and social media campaigns
Promoting new products, limited drops, and seasonal launches
Helping increase online store traffic and in-store footfall through social media activity
Keeping up with trends, sounds, and viral content styles relevant to our audience
Assisting with product photography and content planning when needed

What We’re Looking For

Some previous experience managing social media accounts, creating content, or marketing
A portfolio, social media page, or examples of previous work/content
Confidence filming and editing short-form content
Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, CapCut, Canva, or similar tools
Creativity and the ability to come up with engaging content ideas independently
Good communication skills and reliability
Interest in food, snacks, trends, or retail is a bonus

Hours & Flexibility

8–12 hours per week
Flexible working days/hours depending on business needs and content opportunities
Some filming/content creation may take place in-store during busy periods or product launches
