Bakers Ready Mix Concrete Ltd is a new and ambitious concrete supplier based in Leicester, offering both volumetric and ready-mix concrete services across the region. The Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver / Volumetric Concrete driver to join our growing team. The successful candidate will operate a range of concrete vehicles including volumetric mixers, ready-mix trucks, and assist with batching operations. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality concrete to our customers, maintaining excellent service standards, and supporting day-to-day site operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Safely operate HGV Class 2 concrete vehicles (volumetric and ready-mix).
· Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance reports.
· Communicate professionally with customers and the office via phone and radio.
· Maintain delivery records, batching logs, and quality checks.
· Comply with Health & Safety, environmental, and transport regulations.
Requirements
· HGV Class 2 Licence (Essential)
· Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card (Essential)
· Previous experience driving concrete mixer or volumetric trucks (preferred)
· Understanding of concrete batching and production (advantageous)
· Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
· Punctual, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a small team
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
