Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This role involves managing patient appointments, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure a smooth patient experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience working with System One, Rapid Health (although training will be provided), have experience in an administrative role within a medical setting. Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling and follow-up.
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and external organisations via phone, email, and in person.
- Manage incoming calls, enquiries, and appointment requests promptly and professionally.
- Assist with the organisation of clinic operations to optimise workflow efficiency.
Experience
- Proven administrative experience within a healthcare or medical environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience delivering high-quality customer service in busy settings.
- Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software systems quickly.
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. Working Hours
- We are looking for a patient co-ordinator to cover between the hours of Monday-Friday 8-6.30pm based on the requirements of the role and coverage to support the team members, and have the flexibility to cover annual leave, training and sickness as and when required.
- We are looking for a Patient Co-ordinator to work the following hours:
- Monday 12-6pm
- Wednesday 12-6pm
- Thursday 8-2pm .
- The surgery would consider 15 hours per week for each post, to fit in with the needs of the surgery for the right applicants
Pay: £12.91 per hour
