Overview

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Health Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help promote independence, comfort, and well-being for your clients. Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure their comfort and dignity
Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences
Help with medication reminders and basic health monitoring under supervision, ensuring safety at all times
Provide emotional support through active listening and effective communication, fostering trusting relationships
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and document any changes or concerns promptly
Support clients with light housekeeping tasks to promote a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings as needed, ensuring timely and safe transportation

Requirements

Good communication skills in English, with the ability to connect empathetically with clients and team members
Prior experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to health and safety protocols diligently
Valid driving license is advantageous for roles involving transportation responsibilities
Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a desire to help others
Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
